| Fortunately being the worst writer in the school, the headmaster taught daily the alphabet and words in copperplate, and his knowledge and artistry helped later to give me a lovely job. First real commission was the Bromley Borough Council's Festival of Britain stationery, followed by numerous jobs in commercial art studios until going freelance in the 60's.
The onset of letraset pushed me into drawing for commissioned books, landscapes and buildings. Now back to mainly copperplate jobs.
