| Lilly Lee grew up in the USA, although she studied and trained in Britain. In 1983, she became the first American and first Chinese woman to receive
two British Crafts Council Awards, a Study Grant and Setting Up Business Grant. Since returning to the US in 1991, she works mainly to commission for print and other media, mostly with national advertising agencies. A founder member of Letter Exchange, Lilly has exhibited widely in royal, civic and private collections in the UK and has also been recognized in the US by Print Magazine and Communications Arts.
